Applied atomic and molecular spectroscopy; trace gas detection; optical sensors; spectroscopic techniques based on lasers and their application in areas such as (biomass) combustion, environmental monitoring and medical diagnostics (breath gas analysis); combustion and physiological modeling; connections to environmental policy, sustainable development and public health.
